Abrasive Marking Methods Abrasive marking methods mark by physical alteration of the surface. There are several methods available. Sand Blasting Marking is a marking method with increasing importance because of its gentle treatment of the material and its usage of existing machinery.  T.U.S supplies the necessary Stencils. Laser Marking Technology uses a focused and deflected laser beam, the pieces are marked without the application of physical force. The systems include  semi-automated pieces with manual handling and fully automated devices with piece feed and handling facilities.  Stylus/Scribe Markers are “plotters” for inscribing texts at up to 6 characters per second. The marking is accomplished by a diamond or carbide tip. The machine is equipped with a vertical compensation mechanism that allows for marking on uneven or slightly inclined surfaces. Data Matrix printers and Dot Peening machines use dot stamps, arranged on marking heads. The systems are in compliance with the ECC 200 standard and the AS 9132 standard. Type Wheel Marking uses an electronically controlled type wheel for marking variable texts with a speed of up to 6 characters per second.
